When I started down the path of shedding pounds last November, I had no idea I was stepping into such a transformative process. Alas. That’s what this journey has become.
First I dropped 80 lbs. in 6 months. Next, my blood levels returned to a place they hadn’t seen for more years than I can remember. I started building muscle mass–not just panting on my cross trainer which was always my go-to hangout when I had to burn calories. Each step beget the next.
Then I began sharing what was happening with friends and family that would ask, “What the heck? You’re melting away.” Now, I have many clients and other health coaches I’m working with and it feels like there needs to be a gathering place where we can meet and share information.
Enter this new blog. Come for exercise ideas. Come for recipes. Come here to share stories of what is happening with others–common sentiments like “how the heck do you make this oatmeal the right consistency.” You know. Things like that.

I love this site. Thanks for the great tips and encouragement. Life is good when I get to buy jeans in a size I haven’t worn in a long time. More pounds to shed and so far so good.
