Letter of Gratitude to my Readers

vinhornepathWhen I was in fifth grade, I had a Japanese pen pal. Her name was Akiko. We wrote letters back and forth for several years and sent gifts on holidays. I don’t even remember how I found Akiko. I’m pretty sure it started out as a fifth grade project, but I might have just be making that up. I have never met Akiko, but she will always hold a place in my heart.

That’s how I feel about you, my readers. Some of you I know, and some I’ve only just met and some I am getting to know through your posts, your likes, your follows, your comments…and I am so grateful for you. When I’m touched, I write poems.

To my readers…

Likes, followers, words of affirmation

A world opens up

I see your pictures, your words, your thoughts, your dreams

I see you see mine

You come from all over, in the places you live with languages I do not understand (thank you for understanding mine) and from different stages of your life journey

Some, my friends, supporters from forever ago.

Some brand new.

Travelers, all, down this cyber path

You walk with me

And I with you

Together we share ideas. Thoughts. Shots. Musings. Fears. Joys.

Gratitude fills my heart.

Thank you, readers, for being my Akiko on this new path.photo (2)

About @jamieweil

I'm on an adventure to bring happiness, relaxation, and some shine to a stressed out world. You might call it a Divine mission. Covid Season 2020 has taught me some important lessons about myself and about you, but most importantly about US. I have written about those in a book called Shine: When Chasing Sacred Spaces Goes Dark, my 6th book which came out December 2020 and hit #1 Bestseller in 7 categories thanks to my readers. I teach an online class to empower empaths through writing and am holding my first writing retreat for empaths under the Full Flower Moon and Lunar Eclipse May 5-7, 2023 in mystical Mt. Shasta, California. We have sold our house, not bought another, and have set out on a synchronistic adventure with Kai, our 103 pound lab, at the center. We call it The Kainnection Adventure. Dogs are the equalizers of all. (Home base: www.jamieweil.net)

What a beautiful poem and post! I, too, had a pen pal (from Russia) with whom I shared letters and parts of my life for several years across miles and miles! So glad for your blog! Your posts are thought-provoking and informative. Sending hugs!

Catching hugs and sending back! Thank you so much for this kind comment. So cool you had a pen pal, too. I think that would be fun to bring those back, snail mail and all! Nothing like a handwritten letter. Cyber smiles!

It IS so beautiful here in Sedona. Have you ever been? If you want to be my Facebook friend, you can look through PAGES of mountains each day. (Tempting, right?) Thank you for your compliment! How kind you are.

The closest I’ve been to Sedona is reading The Sedona Method by Hale Dwoskin (sp?)…I should add it to my list of places to visit! Sounds lovely! 🙂

I’ve never read that, K, but yeah–absolutely add it to the Bucket List. I try to get here every year in March for my birthday. This time of year was a bonus trip and the weather is pretty much perfect. Make it a great day!
